XPLO Enterprises was established in 2014 as a woman owned small medium business in Kenya. It converted to a limited company in March 2025 as part of its expansion strategy.
Through research, and driven by the desire to help alleviate the devastating effects of malaria in the low-income settings and communities, Xplo Enterprises has developed innovative mosquito (and insect) repellent candle and petroleum jelly with registered trademark name REPELQWIK.
Our inspiration for producing mosquito repellent petroleum jelly and candles stems from the desire to reduce preventable deaths caused by malaria-related complications and to enhance and optimize crop value addition supply chain.
As dedicated social entrepreneurs, our goal is to offer a convenient and secure means of repelling mosquitoes, compliment existing national malaria mitigation strategies, while improving livelihoods of farmer communities supplying the raw ingredients – citronella grass.
Through our ANKESENTIAL brand, we distill and sell various types of essential oils including lemongrass, eucalyptus, rosemary, frankincense, tea tree and others – further enhancing the essential oils value chain and supporting local farmers.

Our Journey: From a Dream to a Movement
Hello! We’re XPLO Enterprises, and we’re so glad you’re here. Our story began back in 2014 right here in Kenya as a small business proudly owned and run by a woman with a big vision. Fast forward to March 2025, and we took an exciting step in our growth journey by officially becoming a limited company!
RepelQwik: Fighting Malaria with Nature
Our hearts are truly with the low-income communities and families who are hit hardest by malaria. Driven by a desire to make a real difference, we put on our research hats and developed something special: our innovative line of mosquito (and insect) repellents under the registered trademark REPELQWIK.

The inspiration is simple: we want to help reduce the preventable tragedies caused by malaria and offer a convenient, safe, and effective way to keep those pesky mosquitoes at bay. We see ourselves as partners in the fight, helping to support and compliment Kenya’s national strategies for malaria prevention.
